The effectiveness of the PS (production schedule) is determined on several different points, some of theses are negative while others are positive.

Advantages:

• one positive of using a PS is that it can easily be understood by all teams members involved in the making the the product. This allows for easier access and teamwork on the product giving the product a better overall finish.

• another advantage is that a PS can include all of the necessarily information about the game such as the target audience and the timescale that the game will need to be finished in. This lets the team who are creating the game know what jobs need to be done because they will take the longest time. this means that teh PS allows for effective time planning and organisation of the team.

• The PS is a good way to show the client progress on the product because it shows them physical progress on the game.

Disadvantages:

• A disadvantage to using a PS is that if one person job is not included then the product can be delayed by a long time making the product miss the key deadline and angering the client. For example Harris does not finish coding a certain part of the game this means that the other members cannot continue on their respective jobs delaying the whole project.

• Another disadvantage is there the PS might not be specific enough for each team meaning that members of the team will not know what jobs they have to do to create the product creating time where the product will not be worked on because people are waiting on other peoples jobs to be done.

Conclusion:

I think that overall a PS is a great way for small teams to create the product, but for larger teams it is not as effective because the Ps is not specific eough for large teams. The PS itself has a lot of positives such as time managment and specific jobs for different people in small teams.
